Only worry about what you will be asked about

Assalamu alaikum. A man came to Omar bin Al Khattab one time when he was the Khalifa and asked him, yeah, Amirum umini, what do you think? Should I speak the truth and fear none but Allah with regards to enjoying the good and forbidding the evil, or should I just concern myself with myself and mind my own business? So Omar told him, if you have been appointed to manage any of the affairs of the Muslims, then speak the truth and fear none but Allah. If you have not been given such an appointment, then concern yourself with yourself and mind your own business.

This is something that I think we need to remind ourselves of these days because we've got brothers out here worrying about what other men's wives are doing, what other men's daughters are doing, what other men's sisters are doing when they just need to worry about themselves and mind their own business. Don't ask about and don't talk about and don't think about and don't worry about what you're not gonna be asked about.
