Marshall Plan for Africa?
Okay. So the Marshall Plan was the biggest wealth transfer from the public sector to the corporate private sector that had ever occurred until that time. It was not intended to rebuild Europe for the sake of rebuilding Europe. It was for the sake of American markets and creating customers for corporations as part of what made Europe dependent on oil and petroleum and fossil fuels to begin with. The countries that were allotted the most from the Marshall Plan developed the slowest.
The countries that were allotted the least developed the fastest. The Marshall Plan did not rebuild European economies in order to make them competitive. It hindered them from becoming competitive, and they didn't become competitive until the Marshall Plan ended. The world has been suffering from this template ever since, and Africa has suffered variations of the Marshall Plan for decades. So no thank you.
