We don't need the West to teach us human rights
Yeah. That's absolutely the case. And and and I think that that, you know, not to get too sort of anthropological about it, but the countries in the global south and the countries in the Muslim world, specifically in the Muslim world, because of our history of the the the governmental structure that we had and the global order that we established and that lasted longer than anyone else, we have a very long history and we have a very sort of, how to say, organic history in how our civilizations developed, in that they they took the natural progression from families to tribes to communities to larger bodies to states and so on, where the way that we treat each other also grew organically and developed organically in a very natural way. Whereas a country like The United States, as I've talked about, in the West generally has become this way. It's it's it's less this way in Europe, but it's become this way more so in Europe because, again, of neoliberal economic policies that have been imposed by the United Nations and its affiliated organizations.
The communities and the authority structures of those societies, you're talking about, as I've called it, societies of strangers. Families have broken down and the development of the communities is an unnatural and artificial construction. So they have to tell each other how to be human to each other. We don't have to be told. We understand how to do that.
And when you come in when you come in from New York and tell, say, example, people in Indonesia or or people in Malaysia or people in, Morocco, how to you know, what what their human rights are. Well, we know. We know what our human rights are. We've been living by that. We care about each other.
You don't have to teach us how to care about each other. And and we don't see any evidence that you care about us. We don't even see evidence that you care about each other. So how are you going to come to our countries and tell us how we're supposed to care about each other and preserve each other's rights? Well, we've been doing that, and you only learned about caring about other people's rights and preserving people's rights from us in the first place, and you never got it right.
So you can't come to our countries and tell us how to be.
