Empathy is why we invite to Islam

Middle Nation · 30 Jul 2024 · 3:48 · YouTube

We're all of us, you know, Muslims and non Muslims. We're we're living in this dunya. We're living in this world, and we're always amidst a cacophony of of voices, a cacophony of messages, a catapany of misguidance that's shouting around us at all times, the propaganda, the media, the culture, the everything. And one of the one of the voices that we have, one of the voices that we're trying to focus our our hearing upon is the voice of Islam, the voice of Quran and Sunni, the guidance of Allah And we have to we have to try to be as conscientious as we can about trying to mute out all of those other voices. But it's a struggle for everyone.

But for for for non Muslims, they don't even have that voice. All they have is this agapeony of not of of misguidance. So this is this is a challenge for them. And this is you know, the other thing is because of their own history and because of their own perception of what religion is and why religion is, I e, as an instrument of control, they'll think that when we say Islam is the solution, that we're just trying to push another instrument of control on them. That's that's the way they'll respond to it.

But we don't get anything out of this by inviting you to Islam, by telling you about the Islamic perspective and Islamic guidance on things. All we want is what's better for you because we can see that you're miserable. And, obviously, it would be it it you know, we have we have it's not that we don't have any skin in the game because of the fact that you're not Muslim and you're not guided and you're committing evil and all around the world, it would be nice to see you stop doing that. Yes. We have an interest in that, but we're used to that.

We we we already understand that this is that this dunya, this life, the life of this world is a is the arena of testing. It's the arena of of conflict and confrontation and earning rewards, improving our obedience to Allah. We're fine with that. We already understand that we're gonna be tested in this life. So we don't get anything out of inviting you to Islam and telling you about Islam except that we would like for you, for yourself, to be liberated from the misguidance that you're in.

And and you're the one who's gonna benefit from that, not us. We don't have a a what do you call it? Clergy in Islam. We don't have that system to where if you if you become a Muslim now, you have to listen to this sheikh or that sheikh. You have to just do what you're told, we don't have a pope, and we don't have a Vatican.

It's not a hierarchical belief system like that. It's not an institutional hierarchy in Islam. So when we talk about this, when we're when when when I say the things that I'm saying, it's not what we're trying to get anything out of it. We're not trying to put with you. We're not trying to scam you.

We're not trying to trick you into something that's gonna put you in a difficult position or limit your freedom or what have you. This is just advice that you you we can clearly see that you're misguided. We can clearly see that you're unhappy. We can clearly see that you're doing things that, your your innate nature and your innate conscience can't possibly be content with. And we can see also that it's not, that you're not content with it because you're so miserable and depressed and on pharmaceuticals and and and drugs and narcotics and so on, suicidal, depressed, you know, everybody's got a therapist, everybody feels traumatized.

So we can see that you're not happy. We don't have those problems. So you ask yourself why. We're we're inviting people to what's better for them. That's all.
