Reliability of a news source is about your own reading skills

Whether or not a a news source is rely is useful, I'll say I'll say it that way. Whether or not a news source is useful is largely dependent on your own critical thinking ability and your ability to either read between the lines or identify spin and propaganda in which the usually skeletal facts are couched. If if you read something and just take it as it is, take it at face value, then then nothing is reliable. There is no there is no source of information that's reliable except for the Quran and the and the hadiths. But for news, nothing is a reliable source of information if you're reading it that way.

It comes down to the way you're reading it. What they're trying to convey isn't necessarily the thing that you can take from the article. A part of it is the outlet that you're getting the news from, and then part of it is how you are yourself receiving that news. Mhmm. So it really comes down to your own skill level at analyzing the news that you're reading.
