Be assertive about minding your own business

Assalamu alaikum. Don't let people draw you into their personal business at all ever. If someone starts trying to tell you information that's private and personal, stop them. Honestly, just stop them and say, I imagine that's your business. They'll tell you something private and personal with the expectation that you will reciprocate.

It's a tactic for trying to get you to disclose private information about yourself, which then creates a fake idea that the two of you are close. If you work with women and they try to tell you something that's personal and private, it's because they're trying to draw you in and to involve you in their private life. It fabricates a level of closeness that not only doesn't actually exist but is inappropriate. So stop them. That's your business.
