No Taxation without Representation

Middle Nation · 25 Aug 2024 · 5:00 · YouTube

Well, you know, supposedly, the whole, basis, for the, so called democratic social contract in The United States is supposed to be, no taxation without representation. I don't see why you shouldn't be allowed to opt out of that. I I don't see why you shouldn't be able to opt out of that and say, it's fine. I don't need representation, and therefore, don't tax me. You know?

Why don't you have a system where, you only collect taxes, at the polling station on election day? Say, I'm coming there to show that I believe in this system, and I accept that that this system is is a means by which I will be represented by this party or that party or by this candidate or that candidate. And therefore, before or after you, drop your ballot in the ballot box, you also, hand in your tax returns to the IRS. The IRS should be there, right there, at the polling station, so that they can, collect the taxes from those who believe that they're being represented. Because do you believe that you're being represented by that system?

Obviously, we know that's not the system. That's the official basis for the social contract. No taxation without representation. Although we all know, that the people who have the most representation in terms of policy, who have the most influence in terms of policy, are also the people who have the lowest tax rate, who have the most loopholes for not paying taxes, who end up paying the least amount of taxes, who have all of the tax, tax havens, offshore tax havens, and and what you can call legal tax evasion options available to them. Those are the the the billionaires, the millionaires and the billionaires and the corporations, and they have the most influence over policy.

Meanwhile, they pay the lowest amount of taxes compared to the, the people who pay the most in taxes, who have the least amount of actual representation. So we know already that this system, is a is a is a hoax. This system is a fraud already. So, you should be allowed to opt out of it since already, the rich have basically already opted out of it by not paying their fair share of taxes while still being able to enjoy the privilege, and the power and the influence that they have over policy. So obviously, the rich can opt out of it, so why can't the the poor and the middle class also opt out of it and say, that's fine.

I will accept, that you don't represent me, and you don't have to represent me, and I don't expect you to represent me since you don't anyway, as it is, And therefore, I'm not gonna participate in this system. I'm not gonna participate in this hoax. I'm not gonna participate in this fraud, which therefore means that you're not allowed to take my taxes. And don't say no. If you're a citizen, you're gonna benefit from the the the tax, the taxes that are collected and the way that those are used for the federal and the state and the municipal budget and so on.

No. Because that's not the agreement. The agreement isn't you pay your taxes in exchange for benefiting from those taxes being taken. The bargain was the formula is no taxation without representation. Okay.

I'll forego the representation, and therefore you forego collecting taxes from me. Doesn't that make sense? Because as I said, do you feel represented? Because if you're paying taxes, then you are implicitly saying that your government represents you. And everything that they do, all of their policies, foreign and domestic, that you're saying that you, you and your interests, and your morals, and your values are being, represented by that government and by those policies, foreign and domestic.

If you pay taxes, you're basically saying that you represent me. Because that's the exchange. That's the bargain. That's the formula. That's the deal.

That's the contract. So, therefore, if you don't believe that your government, and their policies, foreign and domestic, if you don't believe that that represents you, then I don't know why you pay taxes. And I think that you need to find every way that you possibly can, just the same way that the rich do. They're not even doing it for moral reasons. They're not even doing it for reasons, reasons of conscience.

They're doing it for reasons of having no conscience. That they get out of paying taxes. Well, you ought to be able to get out of paying taxes, the same way that they're able to get out of paying taxes. Particularly since if you try to get out of paying taxes, you're gonna try to get out of paying taxes for moral reasons, for reasons of conscience. For example, you don't wanna fund a genocide.

That's a very good reason to not pay taxes, and it's a very good reason to say that your government does not represent you, and their policies don't represent you. And therefore, you're saying there is no representation and therefore there shall be no taxation.
