Expel the US to Rescue the UN
Well, we're campaigning, along with many others, for the invocation of Article six against The United States to seek, you know, the expulsion of America from the United Nations. This is a concrete action that we're calling for, the removal of the single most malignant force in that organization so that theoretically, once that malignant force is removed, then the UN has some chance of being reformed or rehabilitated, you know, to become, inshallah, a genuinely representative sort of global international consultative council of countries, a shura of states, which is, you know, what it's purported to want to be, what it's supposed to be. Because it should be understood that the UN has already been going through reform process for many years, I e, it has been changing, according to a plan and an objective, which has fundamentally altered the way that the United Nations operates. There's positive reform and there's negative reform. And what the UN has been undergoing for for a very long time now, and especially over the past few years, has been negative reform.
So what I'm saying is reform is going to happen either way, and it will either be positive or negative. The negative reform process has already been underway for many years. Personally, I would point to the melding of the United Nations with the private sector, you know, the Global Compact with Business back in 2000 as a significant turning point for that organization. I'll tell you what I mean by negative reform. It's the kind of reform that a slumlord makes to an apartment building when he wants to empty it out of all of its tenants so that he can sell it off or turn it into condominiums or something.
You know, it's like, you're living in an apartment building and it used to have good maintenance. It used to have pest control and so on. But gradually, over the course of, you know, weeks and months and maybe years, you notice that the lights in the hallway don't get replaced anymore. There start to be cockroaches and mice and rats. The plumbing doesn't work, and no one ever fixes it.
The roof leaks, etcetera, etcetera. This is this is negative reform. Your building isn't what it used to be. It's changed. I mean, deterioration is a change, particularly when, that, is deliberate deterioration, and that's what's been happening at the United Nations.
The organization is being undermined from within, is being sabotaged from within. And the slumlord who's behind all of that sabotage is The United States. It's like when a company buys another company for the, for the sole purpose of sabotaging that company and bankrupting it just to take it out of competition. In my opinion, that's what The United States is doing at the UN. And by The US here, what by The United States, what I mean is the OCGFC, the owners and controllers of global financialized capital.
I think that they would very much like to see the United Nations dissolved and replaced by something that they would create themselves, probably under the leadership of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab. They're advancing a negative reform agenda with the objective of dismantling the United Nations and imposing a new organization that would be even less representative of the global consensus than the UN is now. We are pushing for positive reform to enable the United Nations to be salvaged, to be rehabilitated under the leadership of the BRICS nations, the nations of the global South, or put more accurately, under the auspices of the global majority. So you see, the owners and controllers of global financialized capital and us, we agree on one thing. The United Nations cannot continue as it is.
We both wanna establish something new. But the new UN that we want to accomplish would retain the basic shape and the basic function. You know, it would retain the existing programs and the affiliated entities like the ILO and the ICJ and so on. I mean, we're all proud of the South African case against Israel at the ICJ. Well, that couldn't happen without the UN.
If the UN were to be dissolved, so would the ICJ. And there wouldn't be any institutions left that could even potentially be used for accountability on the world stage. The United Nations on paper has a useful function, and that function has been drastically undermined, and has been undermined by the presence of The United States, and more specifically, the presence of The United States at the Security Council. But it's not it's not just about the Security Council, and it's not just about the veto, Because the reality is that American interference at The United Nations has metastasized and spread throughout the entire bureaucracy of the organization, deliberately making it inefficient, ineffective, incompetent, and corrupt at every level. Like I said, they've sabotaged the United Nations just like a slumlord sabotaging an apartment building, and they've done it for the same reason that a slumlord aggressively advances the deterioration of a property.
The new United Nations or new version of the United Nations that the OCGFC want to establish is something entirely new, complete system change. Scrap the UN Charter and so on. And I I expect, of course, that they would want private sector players to completely and openly dominate it, like the World Economic Forum, for example. The UN system as it is, in their view, is already too democratic. They think that the member states already have too much representation.
So from within and under the management of the current secretary general Gutierrez, they're imposing deterioration and dysfunction. And in my opinion, the member states need to step up and they they need to step in and take the United Nations back from the OCJFC. And the only way to do that is to directly confront the cause of the deterioration and the dysfunction, and that is The United States. America is the one that opened the United Nations to the contagion of private sector parasites because the US government itself has already become a completely infected host to private sector parasites. Again, it's just like in those zombie movies, you know, when a a virus infects and then occupies a body and then completely takes it over.
Well, that's what corporations have done to the American government. And now the American government has spread that virus to the United Nations. The infection is creeping through every limb of that organization, eating away at the United Nations from inside. So if member states, if the global South, if BRICS, if the global majority do not step in, then the whole thing is gonna be hollowed out and collapsed. See, this is the inherent misunderstanding of all those people who talk about a conspiracy theory to establish a one world government.
Private sector power doesn't want government. They want all of these institutions to be destroyed. This is the fever dream of their sick ambition. They wanna be in control of everything. They don't want institutions, public institutions.
They want everything to be, resolved in the boardroom. So the article six campaign is not about trying to undermine or sabotage the United Nations. It's about trying to halt the sabotage that has already been happening, that's already been taking place at the United Nations, and to then try to reverse the damage of that sabotage and rehabilitate and rebuild the UN and reform it from being a a colonialist imperialist institution to try to make it a truly representative organization of the global consensus. This isn't again, this isn't just about the veto, and it's just not it's not just about the under democratic nature of the, Security Council. It's much broader and more comprehensive than that because the malignant influence of The United States is much broader and more comprehensive than that.
And the only way, for the United Nations to be salvaged is by removing, the malignant tumor of The United States. So to begin with, we're asking everyone to sign the Article six petition. And then once we have sufficient numbers on that petition, then we'll raise the campaign, to more official and political levels. For instance, approach the, that the the coalition of member states known as the Friends of the UN Charter, and we'll raise it with countries who have been, the most adversely affected by America's abuse of the United Nations, their violations of the Charter, and their undermining of the organization, countries like Venezuela, Yemen, Iraq, Cuba, and so on, until we can actually see a resolution brought to call for the activation of article six. And even if this doesn't result in the expulsion, it will shine a light on America's, abuse and sabotage of the United Nations.
It will highlight their violations, their corruption, and their corrupting influence. And even a vote at the Security Council about the, expulsion of The United States would represent a massive blow to American hegemony and legitimacy. I'm mean, I know we all think that the United Nations is already a feckless and corrupt organization, toothless. But we have to identify why that is, and we have to understand that the dissolution of the United Nations, which is, I think an inevitability according to the trajectory that things are going, that would not constitute an improvement because that will leave a vacuum, and that vacuum is gonna be filled precisely by the source of the current corruption. So our best option is to try to get ahead of what, America's and the OCGFC's efforts to sabotage the UN, and try to take back control, and try to expel that malicious malignant cancer from the institution and to try to heal and rehabilitate it into something that actually works.
So that's what we're trying to do. And it starts with trying to get as many people as possible to sign, the petition. Once we have enough numbers on that, then we can elevate the call to more official and political levels. And inshallah, we can recruit the support of some of the most victimized member states, the states that have suffered the most by America's abuse of the veto power and by its overall undermining and sabotage of the United Nations. Countries that would be beneficially affected if the United Nations actually function properly, but it isn't able to function properly because of the the way that The United States has interfered with and sabotaged and, imposed dysfunction on that system.
But that begins with grassroots popular support for the coal because, any member state and any, politician or political party or, political group, any government in a member country, is subject to one degree or another to the population. They're subject to, to one extent or another by the grassroots, and it's it's a bold step, and it takes courage. It will take courage, for any member state to raise this issue at the United Nations to actually call for the invocation of article six against The United States. That takes courage. So they need to know that they have support on the ground.
They need to know that their people are behind it. They need to know that the grassroots is supporting this call. And hopefully, inshallah, we can we can show that not only do they have grassroots support in their own country, but they have grassroots support globally. And that would should, inshallah, help to give any member state enough courage to make that move.
